Thieves steal static home

Thieves have stolen an entire two-bedroom static home from the Beauport Caravan Park, East Sussex.

The 40ft x 12ft structure was lifted on to a flatbed lorry after the burglars cut open the park's gates and broke the security lighting.

One of the staff told the Argus newspaper: "When I arrived, I saw it was missing and thought someone had moved it to another part of the site.

"When my colleague told me it had been stolen I thought he was joking, but then the police arrived and started taking fingerprints."

Bexhill police are asking anyone offered an Abi Valencia twin axle static home to check for chassis number 1310092.
