Spend Christmas on a caravan holiday
Now caravan fans don't have to wait for next year's Christmas-themed Feast of Lanterns, they can see the festive holiday in early by spending their Christmas on their caravan holiday.
The Lake District's Fallbarrow Park, voted one of the UK's top 100 best caravan parks, is to stay open for an extra eight weeks that will extend over the Christmas holidays, according to the North-West Evening Mail.
Traditionally, the caravan park would close on November 1st before reopening four months later the following year on March 1st, but now the park will stay open until January 14th, giving caravanners the chance to enjoy Christmas at the Lakes.
Graham Hodgson, the chief executive of South Lakeland Parks, said to the North-West Evening Mail: "We are delighted with this decision by the national park because not only is it good news for our company and our guests who will now be able to holiday for longer, it will also help provide a stream of income for local businesses around Windermere at a quiet time of year."
He added: "Until now, we were at a disadvantage compared to other destinations in the country because winter and Christmas are popular times for a break. People will now have the chance to spend Christmas and winter in the Lake District."
Getting caravan insurance while going on holiday can help protect your security.
