Rudding Holiday Park scoops site of the year award

Rudding Holiday Park, near Harrogate, has won the Which Motorcaravan magazine award for site of the year.

In a survey conducted by the magazine's journalists, the site topped the list for welcoming atmosphere, facilities and service.

Jo Vaughan, one of the site visitors for the magazine, said: "You want a warm welcome when you arrive.

"And you want motorhome-friendly features such as firm ground or handstandings and suitable emptying points. Some sites have it all."

Runner up for the 2008 award was the Windermere Camping & Caravanning Club site.
