Protests threaten disruption
Caravan enthusiasts planning a break this weekend could be affected by proposed demonstrations by fuel protestors.
Transaction 2007, a consortium supported by the Freight Transport Association (FTA) and the Road Haulage Association (RHA), has said it will hold a series of protests on Saturday.
Demonstrations are planned across Britain and Ireland to draw attention to rising fuel prices.
Oil refineries and petrol stations are likely to be picketed.
This could lead to major disruption on nearby roads, meaning anyone planning a short break may see their plans scuppered.
Caravan owners are well aware of the rising cost of fuel as towing their mobile home will lead to higher fuel consumption.
Petrol recently broke through the £1 per litre barrier.
