Caravan Insurance News: Plans for 101 new caravans are approved
Posted on March 03rd 2010
The Brixham holiday park plans have been given the go ahead after numerous attempts from locals to have the plans scrapped. The £2.5 million plans to add an extra 101 caravan to the park are going ahead despite a recommendation from the local council to refuse the redevelopment. Locals feared the vast number of caravans on the site would have a negative effect on the areas natural beauty, saying it would damage the ambience.
Although the plans received 100 letters of objection the motion was passed by a vote of 5 to 4 in favour of the plans. Before the plans start conditions have been made to Park Holidays UK, which must be met if they are to continue with the development.
