One mobile home destroyed, one damaged in fire
A fire has destroyed one mobile home and damaged another in an Illinois trailer park, it has been reported.
Firefighters from the country of Thomasboro took just nine minutes to arrive at the mobile home but it was too late to protect the first vehicle as it was already engulfed by flames, the News-Gazette reported.
Luckily nobody was hurt in the blaze as one vehicle was empty while a woman who was in the second managed to escape before the fire became life-threatening.
Nevertheless, a total of around $24,000 (£15,000) in damage has been estimated as a result of the fire, with $20,000 accounting for the contents and mobile home which was destroyed.
Caravan owners can protect themselves from such blazes in the future by purchasing caravan insurance, which can offer financial assistance in the event of damage caused to the vehicle.
Financial assistance can be used to pay for repairs or even to help replace a caravan if it is completely destroyed.
