Off-roading with a caravan tests new Jeep
Towing a caravan over a Welsh mountainside has been a critical part of test driving the new Jeep, according to one publication reviewing the vehicle.
While not an activity usually associated with caravans, the test drive carried out by the Perthshire Advertiser certainly showed off the heavy duty abilities that most caravans are capable of, no doubt convincing many drivers to enquire about buying one.
Before planning to take a caravan out onto mountainous hillsides though, be it rainy Wales or in the heat of southern France, caravan insurance must be purchased.
Damage to a caravan can cost several thousand pounds to repair, and replacing a new motorhome can wipe out a family's savings several times over, meaning those that do not take out motorhome insurance are risking severely crippling their finances.
Of course, the likelihood of the Perthshire Advertiser's Jeep landing itself into trouble is very low, as it boasts a towing ability of 2.8 tonnes.
But whether you're driving a mini or a tank, there is always the threat of other drivers' negligence, and often another driver's accident will be the cause of the damage to your motorhome.
