Not such a potty idea
Aside from the shiny new motor vehicles at the Tokyo motor show, a newly-launched car accessory has attracted world-wide press attention.
The Kaneko Sangyo Company has launched an in-car toilet.
The self-assembly kit, made from cardboard and a moisture absorbing inner sheet, includes a curtain to shield the user from prying eyes, and, comfortingly, a sealable plastic bag for faecal matter.
In its pre-assembled state the product measures 60cms x 38cms - small enough to fit inside a suitcase, according to a company spokesman.
The spokesman continued: "The commode will come in handy during major disasters such as earthquakes, or when you are caught in a traffic jam."
The "kurumarukun" toilet will retail from November 15th, in Japan, for 4,725 yen, or slightly over £20.
Newspapers have latched onto the story, with reports appearing in South Africa, Europe and the US.
The idea is sure to be of interest to caravan owners, who often undertake long journeys.
