New Peak District caravan site - or buy one of your own

A new caravan site is set to be constructed in the Peak District, according to a report in the Sheffield Telegraph today (July 29th).

The planned park, which would be at Foolow, near Eyam would provide space for 20 vehicles of either the touring or static variety and would be open all year round.

The proposals for the Brosterfield Caravan Site have been presented to the Peak District National Park Authority's planning department, who will decide whether to grant the development a 'certificate of lawful use'.

For those who are not willing to wait for a new development, there is a unique opportunity arising nearby in Swainby, North Yorkshire.

The Darlington and Stockton Times reports that a site and its adjoining static caravan park are going to be put on sale to the general public.

Robin Jessop, who is auctioning the area, explained to the newspaper that this was a chance not to be missed as caravan sites "rarely come up on the open market".

Anyone heading on a holiday with a touring caravan this summer must ensure that they are covered by a full caravan insurance policy. ADNFCR-1193-ID-18707075-ADNFCR
