Motorhomes suffer burglaries
Posted on August 21st 2008
Motorhome holiday parks in Skegness has been the targeted by thieves recently, in a spate of attacks.
Thieves stole from various caravans and motorhomes in the attacks, reportedly using a slab to break a window of one motorhome and prising windows off others.
Instead of the motorhomes themselves, which can fetch upwards of tens of thousands of pounds, the thieves were interested in the contents of the mobile homes.
Due to the comfortable nature of today's motorhomes, many are fitted with the latest mod cons, and the gadgets inside a home can represent quite an expense.
From one vehicle, a digital plasma TV was stolen, and from another a handbag, cash and a mobile phone were pinched.
Motorhome insurance can offer financial protection in the event of a break in, and can ensure peace of mind at all times.
While such thefts are rare, motorhomes are nevertheless obvious targets for thieves, as they can carry a significant amount of valuable goods, as well as being valuable themselves.
Caravan insurance will protect the owners' pocket from such thefts.
