Motorhome 'World Tour' hits the airwaves
Posted on August 15th 2008
A luxury motorhome has been the home of Century Radio's latest breakfast duo for the past week, as they take a trip around the popular spots of the north west.
Based across the north west, Century Radio has been thinking about how best to promote their new breakfast DJs, and finally decided that a 'World Tour of the North West' would drum up sufficient interest in the pair.
So, Century's newest early risers Ditchy and Salty have spent the past week in an eight-metre long, six-berth motorhome, making plenty of new friends throughout the region as they visit the best known areas of the north west.
Having covered 500 miles in a week, the pair have broadcast from locations such as the set of Hollyoaks and Blackpool's Pleasure Beach, with the grand finale yet to come.
Without motorhome insurance however, the pair would have been running serious risks of losing tens of thousands of pounds worth of equipment, as the possibility of an accident or theft would be disastrous.
Their final stop includes popping in to one of the country's most loved pubs, the Rover's Return, of the soap Coronation Street, where they'll be having a chat with the cast today from 4pm.
