More sites come under Haulfryn's control
The Haulfryn Group has expanded to own 21 holiday locations and 30 residential sites in North Wales and the south and south-west of England.
Until now, most of the sites have been scenic coastal resorts, but one of the latest, Pen-y-garth, is a 20-acre site on the edge of Lake Bala, the largest natural body of water in Wales, close to the Snowdonia national park.
Another new site, Woodlands Hall, is a 60-acre development on the outskirts of Ruthin, 22 miles from Chester. The adjoining hotel is now undergoing refurbishment.
Haulfryn has been in the holiday business for over 70 years, although it was given its first caravan licence in 1948, making this a golden celebration.
