Mobile home rally rolls into New South Wales
The Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia is hosting its national rally this week in the town of Bingara, New South Wales.
The rally, which has taken two years to organise, will in fact triple the population of Bingara as 1,000 caravans and motorhomes descend on the town.
Tourism officer Jenny Mead said in an ABC report: "Its amazing to see the showground, at the moment there is a big marquee down there that absolutely dwarfs every other building at the showground; it's a marquee that the volunteers have erected and it seats 2,000 people.
"It will be used for various seminars and the official opening on Tuesday [October 14th] evening," she added.
Any caravan owners inspired by the rally enough to make a more local trip of their own should ensure their caravan insurance is fully up to date, as an expired policy could leave an owner several thousands of pounds out of pocket in the event of a crash.
