Mobile home intruder gives owner a shock
Posted on September 08th 2008
A dangerous intruder was found by a woman in her mobile home recently, although the trespasser wasn't intent on stealing or damaging anything.
Amazingly, a red-tailed boa constrictor - normally only found in South America and Mexico - had slipped all the way up to Mrs Grace Wallace's mobile home in a caravan park in Oklahoma.
"We had been gone for about four days when I came back to the motor home," she told the McAlester News.
"I kept hearing a beeping sound, and I started investigating on this table where I keep the phone. I noticed that the phone had been knocked off the cradle.
"That beeping sound was the phone. When I looked closer, I saw something that looked like a very pretty scarf. But I got to thinking 'Now why would I have put a scarf there?'"
It was not a scarf but a dangerous snake, according to the report, which led Mrs Wallace to call her husband for help.
Thankfully nobody was hurt in this incident but the news should come as a warning to caravan owners in the UK to lock up all windows and doors thoroughly, to prevent any human intruders entering.
