Millionaire chooses caravan park over mansion
Posted on November 04th 2008
Millionaire Michael Buoy has enough money to live in some of the most luxurious homes in Australia, it has been said, but he nevertheless chooses to live in a caravan park instead.
The Casino Village RV Resort is somewhat of a special caravan park for many, who view the community of caravans as home and not simply a holiday village.
Indeed, the Northern Star notes that Mr Buoy is far from the only millionaire living at the caravan site, which is also home to the local mayor.
Joe Schlitter, caravan resident, told the newspaper: "I carry a notepad around this place to jot down the names of people I meet.
"Everyone is just so friendly. We really only knew one neighbour in Sydney. Here we know too many people."
