Fitter caravan insurance

Kwik Fit Insurance is looking to offer services to caravan owners.

Martin Oliver, managing director, bought Express Insurance in June and is now looking for another niche business.

"There are a million of these [caravans] on Britain's roads and we don't have any of them," he told the Scotsman newspaper.

The company is best known for its chain of automotive repair centres. It has a call centre in Tannochside, near Glasgow and has successfully used the internet to keep down business costs.

Also this week, Vantage Insurance Services, providers of static and fixed caravan insurance, announced it hopes to optimise its customers' online experience by using Tealeaf, a customer services application.
