Finnish caravan and travel fairs combined

Caravan and motorhome enthusiasts, who are travelling to Finland this weekend, have the opportunity to visit the largest Nordic active holidays event yet.

The show, held at the Helsinki Fair Centre, will be open to visitors from Friday January 18th to Sunday January 20th.

The travel fair, Matka, will feature information about destinations in 77 countries, and will house over 1,100 exhibitors.

"The threshold for trying caravanning may be fairly high for many people, and there are lots of misconceptions about it," says sales manager, Anita Makela

"At the caravan fair visitors can find a new hobby and get new perspectives on this flexible form of travel. Visitors can also ask the experts at the Caravan stage all kinds of questions."

A total of 3,661 motorhomes and caravans were registered in Finland in 2007, which marks a decade of growth in the caravanning and camping industry.
