Cricket pitch makes way for caravans

Chichester District council is examining a planning application for 45 touring caravan pitches and two public tennis courts on the former Bosham Cricket ground.

The cricket pitch, just off Delling Lane, has not been used for some years, and the pavilion was removed in 2005.

But Bosham cricket club continues to provide sporting entertainment within the village.

The site is currently being used for grazing for horses.

A decision is expected by the end of January.
