Cotswold farmer seeks camping extension

Tagmoor Farm, in Bourton-on-the-Water, has applied for planning permission to extend the "season" next year.

This year, the farm opened from April 1st to September 30th, but Martin Macurrach wishes to expand his site to allow campers from March 1st to October 31st.

Mr Macurrach told a local newspaper reporter, from the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard: "Easter falls in March next year and Easter weekend is always the first big break out for caravanners."

He added: "The weather was wonderful in October and many people will want to take advantage of that.

"When the schools go back a lot of grandparents have a last break to relax."

Cotswold District Council will decide before Christmas.
