Cleaner, greener engines and emissions
ChemEcol UK Limited has produced a fuel additive for petrol and diesel engines which it claims will burn fuel more efficiently, and therefore release less nitrous oxide gasses into the environment. According to their website: "An average 3 car family can save as much as a fifth of a tonne in CO2 emissions annually using ChemEcol's fuel treatments."
Caravan, campers and motorhome owners tend to appreciate the fresh air as much as most environmentalists.
Although the products have only been on sale since the new year, the same additive has been used by commercial fleets, and the makers claim to reduce emissions by 20 per cent.
The bottles have a special dosing neck to dispense the correct amount for each tank of fuel.
For every dozen bottles sold, a tree will be planted too.
A recent Autocar product review gave the D3 (diesel) and G1 (petrol) products a five star rating and said: "What's not to like?"
