Caravans popular with lottery winners

Caravans and motorhomes are proving a popular investment for lottery winners.

After scooping seven figures thoughts might turn to luxury cruises, limousines and designer clothes.

But a number of down-to-earth jackpot winners have stuck with what they know and splashed out on new caravans.

Just this week, a family from Cardiff purchased three caravans on adjacent pitches after scooping £7 million on the lottery.

Last month, an elderly couple celebrated a £1.3 million win and promptly embarked on a tour of Europe in a new motorhome.

Meanwhile, Trecco Bay in Wales has attracted no fewer than eight lottery winners, who have all bought holiday homes at the resort.

Caravans and motorhomes are becoming increasingly sophisticated with fully-functioning kitchens and even saunas.
