Caravanners make healthier holidaymakers
A recent poll from the Camping and Caravanning Club showed that campers and caravanners tend to be healthier than their non-camping, non-caravanning counterparts.
According to Motor Caravan Magazine, 85 per cent of the club's members would walk to places of interest in their nearby vicinity, with 75 per cent of them saying that they did so because they genuinely love the outdoors.
Campers and caravanners were also more likely to swim, cycle or canoe than other holidaymaking members of the general public.
The research also showed that camping and caravanning injects money back into the UK economy, with 17 million campers spending £28.80 on renting one unit of land.
This amounts to over £2 billion being spent each year on camping and caravanning holidays, according to Motor Caravan Magazine.
This helps contribute to the growing popularity of caravan holidays, as it is seen as a more environmentally-friendly and economically sustainable way of travelling while still having fun.
