Caravan storage firm growing
A caravan storage company in Leeds has announced plans this week for major expansion works.
Leeds Caravan Storage Ltd has acquired a new site in Worksop which boasts a four-bedroom house and 5.8 acres of storage space, which equates to 380 caravans, touring caravans and motor-homes.
The new development, which is being funded by NatWest in a £825,000 deal, signals the beginning of the firm's planned investments over the coming years, which include creating an additional 120 pitches.
At present, the company's only site is in the middle of the Kirkstall Valley in Leeds, but it is also exploring the possibility of developing a third one in Yorkshire in the future.
Karen McFadden, who set up the business in 2001 with husband Paul, told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "The new site in Worksop is a well-established business that has provided a great service to its customer base for over 20 years."
Mrs McFadden also announced that the company is looking at expanding the business to include an on-site caravan workshop and an ancillary goods store.
Even if storing a caravan, owners should be aware of the need for caravan insurance to protect themselves for when they are on the road.
