Caravan sales boost after lottery win
A family from Cardiff is all set to splash out on new caravans after winning £6.9 million in last Friday's euroMillions draw, according to the Sun newspaper.
The two brothers and three sisters - all over 50 - and a mother-in-law, in her 70s, have all scooped payouts of over £1.1 million and, it appears, are heading straight to the nearest caravan dealer.
A family friend said: "They all love caravanning and now they will be able to afford the biggest and best models."
It seem they are not the only caravan enthusiasts, as Barclays research has shown caravan sales are booming, with seven per cent of the UK population caravanning or camping, and Brits spending more than £1 million in this sector.
Camper UK, a nationwide caravan dealership, has also reported increased sales.
The latest brand new models from home and abroad can be seen at the international Caravan and motor home exhibition, being held at the NEC, Birmingham, between October 16th and 21st.
