Caravan park falls victim to flood worries
Over the last six months, caravans have come to the rescue for many of the homeowners who were affected by floods.
Last summer's storms led to thousands of people being forced from their homes, with many facing long waits before they could return.
Caravans were the saviours, providing shelter and temporary accommodation while insurance claims were processed.
But the new heightened concern about flood risk has struck a blow to at least one caravan park.
It has emerged that since last summer's floods, seven proposed property developments have been deemed too high risk to get the go ahead, including one caravan park.
Flooding is a major hazard for caravans as well as homes.
With all the accessories and gadgets in modern caravans, insurance against this risk is essential.
