Caravan owners alert after Ottawa fire
Posted on October 01st 2008
A fire which gutted a mobile home in Ottawa, Canada, is being treated as suspicious, it has been reported.
The fire burned down a mobile home in Gatineau, a police spokesperson has said, and fire crews and police investigators are still attempting to discover whether anyone was inside at the time.
"We're waiting for investigators to go through so we will know," sergeant Christian Cousineau told the Ottawa Citizen.
"For the moment, we think it's suspicious," he added.
For a while, 40 other homes on the street were evacuated as a safety measure, but all residents of such homes have since been allowed to return to their homes.
Although most caravan drivers are safe and take care of their vehicles, some events cannot be prepared for, and so caravan insurance is crucial in the fight to protect an owners' finances from the damage a fire could cause.
