Bookings scramble for caravan site

The Caravan Club has restricted the number of users who can access its website to cope with the demand for bookings.

The bookings area of the site was closed on December 3rd and December 4th in anticipation, and from 09:00 GMT on Wednesday December 5th until the end of the week, limited numbers of people will be allowed to access the login area of the site.

The site advises: "If you do not need to make a booking for a peak travel date, we advise you not to use the website on 5th December and to come back the following day when the website will be quieter."

For caravan and mobile home owners who wish to book several UK site dates, the advice is to use the 'fast track' service instead of the 'search and book' area but the site will still regard each set of dates as a new booking.
