Award winners announced at NEC

The Caravan Club used the National Boat Caravan & Outdoor Show to announce the winners of the Caravan Club caravan design and lightweight Leisure Trailer Awards 2008 on February 23rd.

The independent judging panel assess everything from the comfort of the seating, standing headroom, kitchen design, storage, wiring, fitted security measures, and the back up offered by repair and warranty offers.

For the trailers, they were looking for build quality, ease of erection and pull down, together with sleeping and living accommodation.

Chairman of the Caravan Club, Grenville Chamberlain, who announced the results, commented: "It is great to see another year of fantastic support for these Awards.

"The Caravan Club is truly grateful to the manufacturers for their enthusiasm for these awards."

Sterling, Bailey, Airstream and Sprite all took awards in the price-banded caravan categories, with trailers by Camp-Let, Cabanon, Pennine and Lunar scooping first places.
