A new addition at a caravan park
A father delivered his own baby daughter after his fiance went into labour before the midwife and ambulance could attend.
The Southampton couple were ready to go to hospital when they realised that delays on the M27 would have prevented them from arriving in time.
Proud dad, Steve Amato, told the Daily Echo: "Kate said, 'I don't think we're going to make it to hospital!'
"The midwife said she'd be there and the ambulance was on its way, but it all happened so quickly."
A telephone operator with the 999 emergency service talked Steve through the birth.
