A bridge too far for experienced caravan couple
Two Australian holidaymakers were left dangling over a high bridge after their caravan flipped over.
Retired couple Brian Fields and his wife Rosalyn had experienced many spectacular views during their 38 years of touring the country in caravans.
But none can have been quite as spectacular as the sight that greeted them after losing control of their four-wheel drive vehicle near Crow's Nest in Queensland.
Looking at a sixty foot drop from the edge of the bridge to a creek below, they were understandably nervous about making any further movement.
With the vehicle staying attached to the vehicle after the accident, witnesses at the scene helped rescue Brian with the help of a ladder, but his wife was left upside down in the wreck until paramedics freed her with the help of cutting devices.
It is not known whether they were insured for the accident but, despite their ordeal, say they have no plans to take a break from driving caravans.
